Early Precedings brought little action of interest, one great run of skill from the opposition attacker providing a highlight.
Goal 1-0 [Lambon] Lambon intercepts the pass off the side and fires off a quick shot to the advantage of the defender covering the goalkeeper's view.
Goal 2-0 [B. Stroud] Moments later, trapping the pass under his foot B, Stroud glides past the incoming defender and lofts the ball over the keeper with his weaker foot.
In a quick counter attack B. Stroud slices the ball in a great position.
Goal 3-0 [B. Stroud] Lucho nips the ball away for Lambon to quick foot around all four of the opposition and sets up B. Stroud for a simple finish.
Misfits were not going anywhere and the CBFC goal was kept free of shots, Cillit Bang FC were the more dangerous team with B. Stroud having more shots than anyone else on the pitch put together.
Goal 4-0 [Matt Long] Wonder goal - Matt receives the ball in the centre and fires off from the centre circle with the outside of his boot in the top of the net.
Saved by the post when the Misfits player keeps the ball in the air and strikes the ball on the turn. Holes in the defence were starting to appear and Bang made 2 fantastic saves. The goal conceded was from a great free kick, the goalscorer exploiting the empty part of the goal not covered.
Half-Time Score: Cillit Bang FC 4-1 Misfits
Second half started far more evenly and Misfits took the lead with an unstoppable shot. Both sides preceding to fluff fantastic scoring oppotunities.
Goal 5-2 [B. Stroud] The misfits player has nowhere to go and loses the ball under pressure from Matt Long and B. Stroud hits the ball over the keeper.
Matt Long and B. Stroud work excellent shooting chances both just agonisingly outside the post both times. Matt Long gets beaten easily, Lucho moves to cover the danger area, the Misfits shot rebounding into the vacant area for a simple finish.
Goal 6-3 [B. Stroud] Bang passes out to Lambon, he slips it wide, B. Stroud fetches the ball and passes back, under pressure a one-two with Lucho gives B. Stroud enough time to drive across the defence, receiving the ball from Lambon he scores identically to his first lofting the ball over the keeper.
Lambon finds Mike outside the edge of the area and his shot skied when he had time to set himself, in Bang's words 'his moment of glory'. Lambon had two attempts on goal saved, while Wrench on for Lucho set himself with the goal gaping but failed to keep the shot on target. The goal conceded to make it 6-4 was very unfortunate as the Misfits player sticks his toe out to loop it past Bang. B. Stroud immediately breaking down the left and hitting the target. Bang makes a great save to keep the lead at 2 goals. With a couple of minutes to go Wrench's left foot strike smashes off the crossbar, bad misfortune as it rebounds into the path of Misfits best player and he slams in the goal to make Cillit Bang FC's last minute or so that bit nervous. Wrench takes the ball to the corner to whittle down the time and give Cillit Bang FC a sixth win of the season.
