First win finally for CBFC

Mike is finally back taking his place on the sidelines as he eases back into the side, while Veli takes his place as the main centre of defense encouraging his teammates with directions and support, something the side lacks.

TDFC had the early dangerous pressure on goal and really should have scored, M. Stroud making some important touches of the ball. Like the last game the team who had better early pressure went behind.

Goal 1-0 // 14 Stroud - Assist 17 Wrench

Veli, Lucho and Wrench all pass up field for B. Stroud's right footed shot to deflect into the net past the stranded keeper.

A kick-in is floated into the box, although M. Stroud got to the ball it dropped down for a tap in, handy then for Lucho to spectacularly get in a block. CBFC were winning but just could not string 2 passes together as time after time the ball was given away and it looked only a matter of time until TDFC scored or CBFC got a lucky counterattack from the lack of numbers defending on the opposition.

Second Half

B. Stroud and Mike had chances both played in well by Wrench and Lucho respectively after the half started off brightly. Wrench fires from distance while B. Stroud and Lambon miss their attempts under no pressure.

Goal 2-0 // 14 Stroud - Assist 8 Lucho

Mike passes short to Lucho at the kick-in, spotting B. Stroud's run he floats the ball into the box for B. Stroud and a well taken header past the keeper. Cillit Bang FC score their first header courtesy of 14 B. Stroud.

Goal 3-0 // 17 Wrench - Assist 10 Mike

Corner taken short and a one two from Lambon, Mike shoots then pokes the ball across box for Wrench to tip the ball around the keeper.

After B. Stroud gets involved in a foul with an opposition defender, both going in to the tackle hard leaving B. Stroud slightly winded, combining with Wrench he fires for his hat-trick chance which is saved and just past the post, earning a corner he wins a subsequent header straight at the keeper, fumbling the save he gets it clear. B. Stroud on the charge from the long range pass of Veli he brings it down but his chance at a shot is smothered out.

With a clean sheet looming M. Stroud is devastated, after a good game of good handling and saves a long range shot creeps into the bottom corner.
